Country singer Morgan Wallen has not visited a bar since his arrest in April 2024. He was arrested for throwing a chair from the rooftop of Eric Church's Chief's bar in Nashville.
The chair landed near two police officers. Wallen was charged with reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.
In December 2024, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to seven days at a DUI education center and two years of probation.
Speaking on the podcast "This Past Weekend" with Theo Von, Wallen explained that his fame has changed his lifestyle.
He avoids public places like bars due to the constant attention and stress. Instead, he now prefers private activities such as hunting.
Despite his decision to stay away from bars, Wallen plans to open his own six-story bar, "This Bar and Tennessee Kitchen," in Nashville's Lower Broadway district this summer.
He aims to create a venue that reflects his music and offers a menu inspired by his family's favorite dishes.
Wallen's attorney stated that he is cooperating fully with authorities and is committed to making a positive impact.
If he successfully completes his probation, his charges could be dismissed under judicial diversion.
