Rosie O'Donnell, a well-known comedian and actress, has sold her New York City penthouse as she moves to Ireland.
The penthouse, located in Manhattan's Turtle Bay neighborhood, was initially listed for $8.3 million in May 2023 and is now under contract for $6.9 million.
The 3,400-square-foot, three-level condo features a 1,620-square-foot roof deck with panoramic views of the city and the East River.
Inside, it boasts a spacious living room with a black granite fireplace, a glass-enclosed dining room with a wet bar, a kitchen equipped with high-end appliances, and a primary bedroom with extensive closet space and a luxurious bathroom.
Additional amenities include a Guggenheim-inspired staircase, a Swedish sauna, and a wine refrigerator.
O'Donnell, 63, moved to Ireland with her 12-year-old child, Dakota, citing personal safety concerns and political reasons related to equal rights in the United States.
She expressed feeling healthier and less anxious since the move, describing the political climate in the U.S. as "overwhelmingly depressing."
This move aligns O'Donnell with other celebrities who have relocated abroad for personal or political reasons.
