NYU Student Removed from Leadership Role Over Barron Trump Comments

A student leader at New York University has lost her position after making controversial remarks about Barron Trump.

Kaya Walker, former president of NYU's College Republicans chapter, was forced to resign after her comments about the former president’s 18-year-old son were published in Vanity Fair.

Walker described Barron as “sort of like an oddity on campus,” adding, “He goes to class, he goes home.”

Her remarks sparked backlash from fellow Republicans, with the College Republicans of America (CRA) calling them “inappropriate” and against the organization’s “values and principles,” despite saying the article was “unfairly framed.”

In response, CRA President Will Donahue invited Barron Trump to join the organization, hoping to ease tensions.
