Ariana Grande has opened up about her struggle with PTSD, sharing a shocking look at how trauma has affected her brain.
In a 2019 Instagram post, the singer compared a healthy brain scan with one showing PTSD and then shared her own, which closely resembled the latter.
One major event that contributed to this was the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing during her concert. The attack left 22 people dead and injured over 1,000 others.
Speaking to British Vogue about the tragedy, she said, "I know those families and my fans, and everyone there experienced a tremendous amount of it as well."
Reflecting on her healing process, she added, "Time is the biggest thing. I feel like I shouldn't even be talking about my own experience — like I shouldn't even say anything. I don't think I'll ever know how to talk about it and not cry."
