Ariana Grande Calls Out Hollywood for Lack of Mental Health Support

Ariana Grande has spoken up about the mental health struggles she faced during her career, pointing out the lack of support from record labels and production companies.

On a recent episode of the "WTF With Marc Maron Podcast," Ariana opened up about how her mental health issues began at a young age, mentioning the pressure from body image rumors and public speculations about her relationships.

"It started when I was so young with my body or rumours about my relationship. Or about my team or about my mom or about people I love. There was just no limit," she explained.

Starting her career as a child actress and later gaining fame as Cat Valentine on "Victorious," Ariana believes that Hollywood needs to provide mental health therapy as part of contracts.

"It's so important that these record labels, these studios, these TV studios, these big production companies make (therapy) a part of the contract," she stated.

Ariana also shared how fame affected her mental health, saying, "When you sign on to do something that's going to change your life in that way... On that scale...

"You need a therapist to be seeing several times a week. To be an artist, you are a vulnerable person with your heart on your sleeve."

Concluding her thoughts, Ariana said, "So the same person who is meant to do art is the exact same person who is not meant to deal with that s**t."
