Lindsay Lohan Opens Up About Motherhood and Parenting

Lindsay Lohan recently shared heartfelt insights into her life as a mother during an interview on The View.

The actress opened up about her bond with her one-year-old son, Luai, and her future parenting plans.

"My son is, like, my life. Every morning, I take a picture of him when he wakes up,” Lohan said. “I have too many pictures, but I want to see how he changes every day. There's just so much love. Everything he does is so exciting, every day, and I want to capture it every day."

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg lightened the moment, joking, "Just wait til he turns 20." Lohan responded with a nod to her iconic Mean Girls role, referencing the famous line by Regina George’s mom: "There are no rules in this house, okay? I'm not like a regular mom. I'm a cool mom!" She added, "Oh no, I'll be nice, I'll be nice. I'll be a cool mom," earning applause from the audience.

The Hollywood star also reflected on her break from acting after becoming a mother. “Taking space away from the industry, I would say, is a big thing for me. I really needed to — I wanted to miss acting, I wanted to miss doing what I love to do.”

Lohan concluded by sharing her perspective on work-life balance. “And I needed to find time to be me and start a life, meet my husband, have a kid, have a real life so there’s somewhere to have some balance with work and life.”

Lohan married Bader Ebrahim Shammas in 2022, and the couple welcomed their son in 2023.

Her comments reflect the joy and fulfillment she’s found in motherhood and her journey toward achieving balance.
