Over 12 years after first seeking rights to her daughter’s name, Beyoncé is again pushing to trademark "Blue Ivy Carter."
Her legal team recently filed a motion challenging a federal ruling that consumers might confuse the name with a Wisconsin boutique, also named Blue Ivy, which existed before Blue Ivy Carter was born.
Beyoncé’s attorneys argue there's no risk of confusion, emphasizing the difference between the "most famous baby in the world" and a small shop in Fish Creek, Wisconsin.
They noted that no “reasonable consumer” would believe the superstar family is linked to a boutique in a community of under 1,000 residents.
No immediate comment was available from Beyoncé’s legal team on the case's current status.
