Meghan Markle Silences Talk on Royal Family to Preserve Personal Brand

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has notably remained quiet about the Royal Family, a strategic decision aimed at maintaining the success of her brand.

Following the release of her Netflix documentary "Harry & Meghan", she has shifted her focus from addressing the injustices of the institution to building her lifestyle company.

Amelia Sordell, a personal branding expert, shared her insights with The Sun, suggesting that Meghan and Prince Harry may have previously overshared their personal narrative.

"She and Harry, as a branded couple, have made a mistake in previous years of giving too much of their authentic story – which meant that people can perceive them in a way that they can't control," Sordell explained.

By distancing herself from discussions about the Royal Family, Sordell believes Meghan is “recalibrating her public persona” to align with a more family-friendly and positive image, in line with the values of her emerging brand, American Riviera Orchard.

Sordell added, "Your personal brand has to mirror who you are as a person," implying that Meghan's current public stance is a deliberate attempt to reshape how she and her family are perceived.

Since stepping down from their roles as senior members of the Royal Family in 2020, Meghan and Harry have made headlines for their candid criticisms of the monarchy, including accusations of racism directed toward their son, Prince Archie.

The couple now resides in California with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
