Katy Perry Opens Up About Working with Dr. Luke on New Album

Katy Perry recently addressed her decision to work with Dr. Luke on her upcoming album during an interview on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast.

The collaboration, which has sparked significant conversation, was one of many partnerships Perry engaged in while creating the album.

"I understand that it started a lot of conversations, and he was one of many collaborators that I worked with," Perry explained.

"But the reality is, it comes from me. The truth is, I wrote these songs from my experience of going through this metamorphosis in my life, and he was one of the people who helped facilitate that. One of the writers, one of the producers."

Perry emphasized that her work on the album reflects her personal experiences, particularly her journey as a mother.

"When I speak about 'Woman's World,' I speak about feeling so empowered now, as a mother, as a woman, giving birth, creating life, creating another set of organs. A brain! A heart! I created a whole ass heart! And I did it, and I’m still doing it."

She continued, "I’m still a matriarch and feeling really grounded in that. That’s where I’m speaking from. So I created all of this with several different collaborators, including people I’ve worked with in the past, from the ‘Teenage Dream’ era."

Perry’s comments reflect her commitment to her art, drawing on her own life experiences to create her music, while working with a variety of collaborators to bring her vision to life.
