Beyoncé has reportedly issued a cease-and-desist to former President Donald Trump’s campaign for using her song "Freedom" without permission.
According to Rolling Stone, an insider revealed that the Trump campaign did not secure the rights to use the track from her "Lemonade" album in a social media video.
The 13-second video, posted by campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung on Twitter on Tuesday (August 20), features Trump exiting a plane in Michigan with "Freedom" playing in the background.
Despite the cease-and-desist from Beyoncé's label, the video remains on Twitter as of now.
Interestingly, Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign has been using "Freedom" extensively with Beyoncé's permission, highlighting a stark contrast in the song's political usage.
