In a candid interview on David Letterman's "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction" aired on Netflix, Miley Cyrus opened up about her connections in the music industry, particularly with Beyoncé.
Cyrus revealed she doesn't feel like part of the celebrity community, stating, "I am not very active or a very active part of my community of other artists and entertainers and celebrities. It just doesn’t feel like my people when I’m in that room."
Despite this, Cyrus spoke fondly of her relationship with Beyoncé, whom she has known for a long time. She recalled performing alongside Beyoncé at the Stand Up To Cancer benefit in 2008, describing how kind Beyoncé was to her.
"I was, like, sandwiched between Rihanna and the Queen Bey... and Beyoncé was so kind to me," she shared.
Miley highlighted their collaboration on Beyoncé's latest album, "Cowboy Carter," featuring their duet "II Most Wanted."
The track has been a hit, debuting at number ten on the Billboard Global 200 and number six on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
Cyrus emphasized that while she's selective about her industry relationships, she values the kindness and consistency she's found in her bond with Beyoncé. "It’s all quality, not quantity," she concluded.
