Beyoncé's new album ‘Cowboy Carter’ has been receiving widespread acclaim, and Dolly Parton, who is featured on the chart-topping LP, added her voice to the chorus of approval.
The applause for Beyoncé's venture into the country genre has been loud and enthusiastic.
Parton was impressed with how Beyoncé made 'Jolene' her own. She highlighted the difference in their approaches, saying, "She wasn’t gonna go beg some other woman like I did. ‘Don’t steal my man.’ ‘Sh*t, get out here, bitch. You ain’t stealin’ mine.’”
The conversation also touched on the possibility of the two icons performing together at the GRAMMYs on February 2, 2025.
When asked if she would consider it, Parton responded enthusiastically, "Why of course I would — if I’m available, if I’m not caught up in something I cannot get out of, yeah, that’d be wonderful. I mean, who wouldn’t wanna sing ‘Jolene’ with Beyoncé?”
Beyoncé's foray into country music has been met with praise from fans and industry veterans alike, with Parton's endorsement being a significant highlight.
The potential for a GRAMMY performance with both stars is an exciting prospect for music lovers everywhere.
