Anne Hathaway has revealed her ultimate picks for classic pop hits, and they’re none other than Madonna’s ‘Like a Prayer’ and Britney Spears’ ‘…Baby One More Time’.
Speaking at the premiere of her new movie 'The Idea of You', Hathaway showed her love for these iconic songs.
While Anne admits she's a bit out of the loop on boy bands, her enthusiasm for pop queens Madonna and Britney Spears is crystal clear.
She described ‘Like a Prayer’ as the top pop song, closely followed by ‘…Baby One More Time’. Hathaway also praised Britney’s ‘Toxic’ as another standout track.
The movie's lead, Nicholas Galitzine, who plays Hayes Campbell, the heartthrob singer of fictional band August Moon, shared his thoughts too.
He remembers 'Incomplete' by the Backstreet Boys as a quintessential boy band anthem, loved for its melodrama.
Based on Robinne Lee's novel, 'The Idea of You' is causing a stir due to its parallels with Harry Styles and One Direction. Hathaway and Galitzine's chemistry on-screen is already a hot topic online.
The other members of August Moon—Dakota Adan, Jaiden Anthony, Raymond Cham Jr., and Viktor White—also chimed in, embracing comparisons to iconic boy bands but aiming for a unique vibe.
Executive music producer Savan Kotecha crafted August Moon's music to reflect a genuine band’s evolution.
He carefully planned the band's sound, from early singles to the Coachella stage, with songs like 'Dance Before We Walk' capturing the essence of their journey.
