Beyoncé Makes History as First Black Woman to Top Billboard's Country Albums Chart with 'Cowboy Carter'

Beyoncé has made history by becoming the first Black woman to top Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart with her new album, Cowboy Carter.

This achievement marks a significant milestone in the chart's history, which dates back to January 1964.

Not only did Cowboy Carter debut at No. 1 on the country albums chart, but three songs from the album also dominated the Hot Country Songs chart, holding the top three spots simultaneously.

This makes Beyoncé the first woman ever to accomplish this impressive feat.

The album, released on March 29, earned an impressive 407,000 equivalent album units in the United States for the week ending April 4, making it the biggest week for any album in 2024 so far.

Beyoncé's success with Cowboy Carter is a testament to her influence and versatility as an artist, breaking barriers and making waves in the country music scene.
