Britney Spears has publicly apologized to her former flame, Justin Timberlake, and even expressed admiration for his latest single 'Selfish.'

Despite the controversy surrounding Timberlake's new release, Spears took to social media to extend her apologies and share her affection for his music.

The pop icon, who recently made her Instagram account private, addressed her 42.5 million followers by posting a clip of Timberlake's recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.


In her post, Spears acknowledged that she wanted to apologize for certain statements made in her bestselling memoir, 'The Woman in Me.' Among the revelations in the book were claims about her past relationship with Timberlake, including details about an abortion and allegations regarding his behavior.

Spears expressed regret for any offense caused by her words, stating, "I wanna apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book. If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry."

In a surprising twist, Spears also declared her admiration for Timberlake's latest musical endeavor, 'Selfish,' describing it as "soo good." She further expressed her enjoyment of watching Timberlake and Fallon's comedic chemistry on television.


Her full statement read: "I also wanted to say I am in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song 'Selfish' 🌹 It is soo good and how come every time I see Justin and Jimmy together I laugh so hard ??? Ps 'Sanctified' is wow 🤩 too."

Spears' unexpected apology and endorsement of Timberlake's music have sparked speculation among fans about a potential reconciliation between the two stars, who were once considered one of pop culture's most iconic couples.
