In a surprising revelation at the Variety Hitmakers Brunch, global pop sensation Billie Eilish confirmed her queer identity during a red carpet interview. The singer expressed her surprise at the public's apparent lack of awareness regarding her sexual orientation, stating that she thought it was "obvious."

Eilish initially touched upon her attraction to women in her November Variety profile, where she candidly shared, “I’m physically attracted to [women]. But I’m also so intimidated by them and their beauty and their presence.”
During the recent red carpet interview, she clarified that her earlier statement was not intended as a formal announcement. "I didn’t [know I was coming out], but I kinda thought, wasn’t it obvious?" she remarked. "I didn’t realize people didn’t know."

With a touch of humor, Eilish commented on her unintentional revelation, saying, “I’m still scared of [women], but I think they’re pretty. I saw the article, and I was like, ‘Oh, I guess I came out today!’ I just don’t really believe in [coming out]. I’m just like, why can’t we just exist? I’ve been doing this for a long time, and I just didn’t talk about it.”

Emphasizing her support for the LGBTQ+ community, Eilish stated, “It’s exciting to me because I guess people didn’t know, so it’s cool that they know...I am for the girls.”
The artist, known for her chart-topping hits and unique style, further reflected on her past relationships, including rapper Brandon Adams (7:AMP) and, more recently, Jesse Rutherford, the lead singer of The Neighbourhood.
