Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg Postpones MMA Fight Plans After ACL Surgery

Meta CEO and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg had to undergo surgery after tearing his ACL during mixed martial arts training. The 39-year-old tech mogul revealed the unfortunate incident in a series of photos shared from his hospital bed on Friday afternoon.

Zuckerberg had been diligently preparing for a competitive MMA fight slated for early next year, but his plans have been temporarily derailed due to the injury. He expressed gratitude for the medical team that treated him, stating, "Tore my ACL sparring and just got out of surgery to replace it. Grateful for the doctors and team taking care of me."

Although the opponent for Zuckerberg's anticipated fight had not been publicly disclosed, he had been seen training alongside renowned MMA fighters such as Henry Cejudo, Israel Adesanya, and Alexander Volkanovski.

Additionally, Zuckerberg had engaged in public banter with Tesla CEO Elon Musk, challenging him to a fight. While the much-anticipated showdown between the tech billionaires never materialized, Musk recently declared on Joe Rogan's podcast that he would be willing to fight Zuckerberg "anytime, anywhere, any place."

Zuckerberg remains optimistic about his recovery, stating, "Still looking forward to doing it after I recover. Thanks to everyone for the love and support." As the tech world awaits Zuckerberg's return to the MMA arena, the future of his competitive ambitions remains uncertain.
