Britney Spears Set to Release Highly-Anticipated Memoir 'The Woman in Me' on October 24

Pop icon Britney Spears is set to release her highly-anticipated memoir, entitled "The Woman in Me," on October 24.

This, according to an exclusive report by PEOPLE, followed a bidding war among several publishing houses, with Gallery Books, a Simon & Schuster imprint, securing the acquisition rights.

The memoir launch coincides with Spears’ successful fight against a 13-year-long court-ordered conservatorship.

According to Jennifer Bergstrom, Gallery Books Senior Vice President and Publisher, the open court testimonies from the pop icon “changed laws, shook the world, and showed her inspiring strength and bravery.”

Bergstrom adds that the company is “proud to help her share her story at last” and believes that the memoir will be “the publishing event of the year.”
