Confirming the demise of the 44-year-old artist, renowned for his recent role in "Reis," the family's attorney issued a statement on Facebook. On May 22, authorities uncovered the actor's remains, tightly confined within a wooden chest encased in concrete, buried six feet beneath the backyard of a residence situated in the Campo Grande area.

According to the lawyer, his arms were bound behind his head and he was "buried in a trunk that is very similar to the ones in his own house," as revealed to R7 News. Identification of the body was achieved through fingerprint analysis, according to the lawyer's statement.

The house where Machado's remains were found belonged to an individual who had reportedly rented it to an acquaintance of the actor. Although the tenant has been identified as a suspect by the police, no arrests have been made thus far.

Law enforcement footage exhibits investigators meticulously unearthing the wooden box from the concrete flooring, requiring the assistance of several individuals. Machado was last seen on January 27.
