The news was first reported by Entertainment Tonight and comes as Swift is currently on her sold-out Eras tour, where Alwyn has not been seen.
The famously private couple had previously avoided engagement rumors, with Alwyn stating that he would neither confirm nor deny the rumors.
The couple collaborated on music during the pandemic, with Alwyn writing several songs under the pseudonym William Bowery for Swift's albums Folklore and Evermore, which earned them a Grammy Award.
Swift had previously referred to Alwyn as her rock and praised his involvement in her songwriting process.
The couple had kept their relationship private and were last seen together in public in February 2022 after the Oscars.
