According to a recent study by Luminate, a music sales data resource, Cyrus' chart-topping hit accounted for 1.16 billion of those streams.
The upbeat single from her latest album, "Endless Summer Vacation," was released on January 12 and features several references to her past high-profile relationship with ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.
"Flowers" dominated the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks following its chart debut on January 28 and has now settled at No. 2.
The track also set a new record as the most-streamed song in a single week in Spotify history, as announced by the singer's record label.
