Academy Award-winning actor Jamie Foxx was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday, April 11, after experiencing a medical complication, according to his daughter, Corinne Foxx.
While the exact cause of his hospitalization remains unknown, a recent report by Media Take Out suggests that Foxx was hospitalized due to severe headaches, which led to the discovery of a brain bleed.
Brain Bleed May Not Be Serious
Sources told TMZ that Foxx is expected to make a full recovery from his brain bleed, which was described as minor. Despite his improving condition, doctors may need to keep him in the hospital for a few more days to perform additional tests.
Possible Causes of Brain Bleed
Although the Centers for Disease and Control has not confirmed the cause of Foxx's condition, head trauma, high blood pressure, amyloid angiography, aneurysms, and blood vessel abnormalities are all known risks that could lead to a brain bleed.
Production Delays
Foxx's health scare caused the shutdown of the production of the upcoming movie "Back in Action" on Wednesday. Production resumed on Thursday, with a stand-in used in place of Foxx.
However, a scene scheduled for filming on Sunday has been canceled, while scenes for Monday and Tuesday are expected to proceed as planned.
Foxx's daughter shared on Instagram, "Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery."
