On April 2, Big Hit Entertainment made an announcement that Suga, a member of the South Korean boy group BTS, will be releasing his first solo album entitled "D-Day" on April 21.

Suga will be the fifth member of the group to debut as a solo artist. Big Hit Music released a statement through the fan community app, WeVerse, stating that Suga's solo album will be the final chapter of a trilogy under his alter ego, Agust D.

Suga has previously released two mixtapes, "Agust D" and "D-2," in 2016 and 2020, respectively. His entertainment agency also announced a pre-release track from his solo album, which will be available on April 7.

According to the statement, Suga's solo album will provide an intimate portrayal of his life as an artist, delving into his personal journey as Agust D.

Following the announcement, fans of the boy group took to BTS' social media accounts to express their excitement about Suga's solo album debut, with many eagerly anticipating its release.

The South Korean superstar is set to embark on a world tour starting on April 26, which will take him to various countries in Asia such as Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, and South Korea. Big Hit Entertainment has yet to announce his concert date in Japan.

It is worth noting that BTS is currently on hiatus, with some members planning to enlist for their mandatory military service. This break has allowed the members to focus on their individual careers.
