The Prive restaurant, owned by Yo Gotti, was the site of a violent shooting incident resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to at least five others.
The incident occurred in Memphis, Tennessee, and followed a physical altercation inside the restaurant that spilled out into the parking lot.
Memphis police confirmed that they responded to a shooting outside 6980 Winchester on March 29th at 11:17 P.M., shortly after the restaurant had closed.
Two male victims were found on the scene and one was pronounced dead in the parking lot, while the other was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
Additionally, five other individuals, four men aged 37, 35, 31, and 30, and a 25-year-old woman arrived at hospitals by private vehicles, with their current conditions unknown.
Footage obtained by TMZ showed the brawl that led to the shooting. The altercation began after a man in a red jacket collided with a group and someone threw a drink, leading to a physical fight.
Security appeared to separate the parties, but the altercation continued in the parking lot, where shots were fired by a man in a blue hoodie, who has not yet been identified, hitting a man in black multiple times.
The video then shows the shooter hobbling away from the scene, leaving two bodies on the pavement.
Yo Gotti was not present during the incident, as he was not in Memphis at the time. None of his family members were among the victims.
Arthur Horne, the owners' lawyer, stated that the altercation occurred in the parking lot and not inside the restaurant as originally reported by authorities.
The owners extended their condolences to the families of the victims, and Horne emphasized that in ten years of operation, nothing like this had ever occurred at the establishment.
