According to Peña, her job as a preschool teacher barely made a dent in her mother's medical expenses, and social security didn't cover most of her treatment.
In an interview with Fuente Informativa, Peña explained how she was able to afford her mother's expensive treatments, including a medicine that cost over 20,000 pesos a month.
