According to local media, the actor was discovered at the site of the altercation after police received a 911 call.
The police have charged the actor with strangulation, assault, and harassment.
As per police reports, the initial investigation concluded that the 33-year-old actor was involved in a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman who informed the police that she had been assaulted.
The actor was apprehended without incident by the officers. The victim suffered minor injuries to her head and neck and was transported to a nearby hospital in a stable condition.
TMZ, citing anonymous law enforcement sources, reported that the alleged victim was the actor's girlfriend, and that the two had gotten into an argument while returning home in a taxi.
The actor's representative told TMZ that he had done nothing wrong, and they are looking forward to clearing his name. At present, the actor is no longer in police custody.
