Officials have released a recording of a 911 call reporting a fatal alligator attack on an 85-year-old woman in Florida earlier this week.
As previously confirmed by authorities, Gloria Serge was attacked by an alligator, estimated to be around 10-feet long, while walking her small dog along a retention pool in the Ft. Pierce community where she lived.

In the recording, a neighbor who witnessed the attack can be heard frantically telling the 911 operator that "the alligator's got her" and pleading for help.
Despite the neighbor's efforts to rescue Serge, she was pulled into the water and died as a result of the incident. Her body was recovered, and the dog survived the attack.

The alligator responsible was captured and killed by a contracted nuisance alligator trapper. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission urges anyone with concerns to call their toll-free Nuisance Alligator Hotline.
Our sympathies are with the victim's loved ones and the Spanish Lakes' residents who knew her and witnessed the attack.
