An alleged private photo of TikTok star Charli D'Amelio has been leaked online and immediately caused a social media uproar.
In December 2020, rumors circulated online about a photo of Charli D'Amelio appearing to show her without a bikini top.
D'Amelio immediately spoke out about the incident, calling the photo "110% fake" and explaining that it was a screenshot of an old TikTok video of her wearing a swimsuit that had been photoshopped.
She emphasized the importance of not believing everything seen on the internet and reminded followers that the original video was still posted on her account.
"Don’t believe everything you see on the internet," D'Amelio said during an episode of her “2 Chix” podcast. "I was not going to address this because it’s just stupid, but I felt like it was important to get that out there. So if you see something of me, it was not me."
D'Amelio began her career as a dancer, competing in various dance competitions and performing with her dance team, the Hype House Dance Company. She gained popularity on TikTok in late 2019, where she became known for her dance videos and lip syncing content.
