Recently, Cody revealed the true reason for their breakup. On KIIS FM's "The Kyle and Jackie O Show," he explained that they split up because they were headed in different directions.
"It was a mutual decision between us knowing we were going in different directions," said Cody. "I had just started [swimming] training at that point so my life was changing a lot and I knew I was going to have to move back to Australia and she was going on tour."
In Cody and Miley's year together, the singer said they had an incredible time together. He also revealed that he is now single after breaking up with model Marloes Stevens.
