On Monday, the Pop Princess shared a lengthy Instagram post in which she called out Diane and said that the chat had a "you're in the wrong" agenda.
In the emotional interview conducted after Britney split up with Justin Timberlake, Diane prompted the "Toxic" singer to break down in tears due to her questioning style.

The broadcaster asked Britney what she did to cause the breakup. In the now-deleted post, Britney wrote, "Do we dare forget the Diane Sawyer interview in my apartment almost 20 years ago??? What was with the 'you're in the wrong' approach ?? Geeze ... and making me cry ???"
Britney explained how the interview was set up, saying that she had been at a point where she was living alone in New York and was not in the mood to speak to anyone following her heartbreak.
The singer then gushed about how "proud" she was to have finally got her hands on her own money.
