Lil Nas X Blasts Trolls Over the Sales of his Debut Album

Lil Nas X is not to be trifled with!

Although "Montero" received 126,000 equivalent album units and 147 million streams last month, the rapper's debut album placed second on the Billboard 200, falling behind Drake's "Certified Lover Boy."

Even with Lil Nas X's solid sales, his critics couldn't resist calling him a "flop," saying he "sold his soul," but that wasn't enough to land him on top.

"Lil nas X danced on the devil, came out as gay & sold his soul just for his album to not overcome drake’s or Youngboy. FLOP. Real overcomes all!" one person tweeted.

The controversial artist responded perfectly to the trolls, however. "Y'all have tweeted 10 different versions of this tweet," he replied. "Meanwhile my album has already sold almost 2 million copies worldwide and is already the 8th most streamed project of the year. cry & cope."

The album has also yielded three top 10 singles on Billboard Hot 100.
