Adele made herself a priority when she divorced Simon Konecki, whom she began dating in 2011.
Adele appeared on the covers of both Vogue and Vogue UK and spoke candidly about her breakup with Simon, with whom she was married for a year, and how she's dealing with the pain and closing the chapter on the relationship.
"Neither of us hurt each other or anything like that. It was just: I want my son to see me really love, and be loved. It's really important to me," the singer said. "I've been on my journey to find my true happiness ever since."

Adele and Simon share a son named Angelo, who is nine years old. Their split was kept secret for quite some time, said the Grammy winner.
"We had to take our time because there was a child involved," Adele said. "I'd trust him with my life. I definitely chose the perfect person to have my child with. That – after making a lot of knee-jerk reactions — is one of my proudest things I've ever done."
Adele said she and Simon still live close to each other, have joint custody of their son, and enjoy family movie nights together. It has also been hard for her to accept how much the divorce has affected their son.
"If I can reach the reason why I left, which was the pursuit of my own happiness, even though it made Angelo really unhappy — if I can find that happiness and he sees me in that happiness, then maybe I'll be able to forgive myself for it," Adele shared.

"He said to my face, Can you see me? And I was like, Uh, yeah. And he was like, Cause I can't see you," she added. "Well, my whole life fell apart in that moment. He knew I wasn't there. That's when I started sharing with him."
Also, Adele discussed her upcoming album, saying it is not a divorce album like many people think.
