According to a source close to the singer, Jennifer felt the need to spend the weekend in Los Angeles with Ben, as well as for business reasons.
"They will continue to travel back and forth between Los Angeles and Miami," the insider told PEOPLE. "They are very happy together."
Jennifer and Ben are also reportedly talking about the future in a more measured way.

Meanwhile, Jennifer, a firm believer in eternal beauty, responded to a troll who claimed she used botox in January.
The singer had just been pampering herself with her newly launched skincare brand, JLo Beauty, when it happened.
"It's the first time I'm releasing this full video of when I first tried out limitless mask!!! Spoiler alert ... we (decided) not to charge $10,000 for them," she captioned the video she posted on Instagram.
Jennifer's beautiful skin won the hearts of many fans. One critic, however, argued that the star was only using Botox.
The person commented: "But can I just mention that brows and forehead doesn't move at all when you talk or try to express... you definitely have Botox. And tons of it. And it's all good. Just saying."
In response, Jennifer shook her head shadily and sat down rather than taking the insult in stride.
"LOL thats just my face!!! … For the 500 millionth time… I have never done Botox or any injectables or surgery!! Just sayin,'" she said. "Get you some JLO Beauty and feel beautiful in your own skin!!"
