Pop star Selena Gomez uploaded a photo on social media of herself wearing a swimsuit. In the caption, she wrote that she is proud of her surgery scar.
Selena Gomez took to Instagram in September 2020, clad in a blue swimsuit. She stood between her hot tub and a humanmade creek and flung her arms upward.
In her caption, the singer wrote: "When I got my kidney transplant, I remember it being very difficult at first showing my scar."
She added, "Now, more than ever, I feel confident in who I am and what I went through…and I'm proud of that."
Selena is setting out to help all her followers to do as such, regardless of what it is about themselves that they are less confident about, writing, "All bodies are beautiful."
Since 2013, Selena has been battling lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease. As a result, she received a kidney transplant from her friend, Francia RaÃsa, in 2017.
