It seems that Gray is facing a series of controversies. Her name was recently linked to the post of her ex-boyfriend, Clint Bondad, on Instagram.
Catriona Gray's legal counsel Atty. Joji Alonso has issued an official statement in regards to the allegedly topless photo of the Miss Universe 2018.
In a statement on July 19, Alonso said it has come to their attention that the said picture of Gray has been spreading on the web, and a certain tabloid will supposedly release it. "We want to inform the public that the photo is fake and digitally altered," she said.
Alonso also said that they are already taking legal steps for those responsible for the said photo. She pointed out that their only motive is to tarnish the image of the beauty queen.

"We are actively coordinating with authorities to hold accountable whoever is behind this scheme and face penal sanctions accordingly," she said. "We will likewise take legal action against those involved in the manufacture and publication of said photo."
Alonso continued: "We strongly denounce this vicious attempt to tarnish the good name of Ms. Gray."
In her statement, Alonso also has a message for all social media users. "At a time when fake news is prevalent," she said, "we firmly urge the public to be discerning and critical of what they see and share on social media."
"There is already so much injustice happening these days," Alonso explained. "Now some people want to add to it by maligning an innocent soul."
It seems that Gray is facing a series of controversies. Her name was recently linked to the post of her ex-boyfriend, Clint Bondad, on Instagram.
Gray, however, appears to stay positive in all this happening. She and her current boyfriend, Sam Milby, even released the music video of their collaboration, "We're In This Together."
For the first time, the Filipino-Australian model can be seen singing while Sam plays the guitar.
Gray is the fourth Filipina to win the Miss Universe competition. Previously, she was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2018 and Miss World Philippines 2016.
